Terrorism Committee

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373, adopted unanimously on 28 September 2001, is a counterterrorism measure passed following the 11 September terrorist attacks on the United States.

The Committee's primary purpose is to:

•Monitor the implementation of Resolution 1373 by member states.
•Oversee the implementation of subsequent resolutions related to counter-terrorism efforts.
•Provide support and assistance to member states in their fight against terrorism.
Resolution 1373 outlines a series of specific measures that member states are obligated to take to combat terrorism.

The CTC was tasked with monitoring the implementation of resolution 1373 and facilitating international cooperation in the fight against terrorism. It serves as a platform for member states to share information, coordinate their efforts, and develop strategies to combat terrorism.
